Alexia Fetherstonhaugh became a magistrate in 2002 and a Youth Magistrate in 2004. Over the years she has spent time as a Mentor to new magistrates and is also as an Appraiser. She was the Magistrate Representative on the Specialist Domestic Violence Court Management Committee for the last seven years handing over early in 2013. Alexia also helps out with the MiC project, visiting schools to talk about the criminal justice system and the magistracy. She has held various key positions on the Bench.
Alexia graduated with a degree in psychology from Southampton University in 1987. She is married and has a 23 year old daughter and two sons aged 21 and 19. Prior to becoming a magistrate, Alexia was a volunteer and Trustee for HomeStart Westminster and also a mentor for the Portobello Youth Trust.
