TBAP Teaching School Alliance is uniquely placed to offer specialist behaviour and mental health support and training to all educational settings, primary, secondary, mainstream or AP. Developing a strong school culture with effective behaviour management, trauma informed approaches and staff development is at our core.
As part of a well-established Alternative Provision trust, we have a wealth of expertise in these areas and we are proud to share the skills we have developed to support school improvement and life chances for all learners. Equally, however, we do not seek to dictate our own practice. Our key aim is to develop strong collaborative partnerships to enable schools to learn from each other, share innovative practice, new models of learning and best practice in order to ensure our most vulnerable learners can thrive.
Through our programmes of CPD, school-to-school support and leadership development, we have been able to support over 180 partners since our launch in 2014.
We have designated a number of Senior Leaders of Education (SLE) who are available to support school improvement or colleagues in any setting. Please see the school-to-school support section of the website for case studies and further information.
As a designated School Direct provider (Initial Teacher Training, ITT), we offer training opportunities for those who wish to complete their teacher training in an AP setting. We also offer opportunities for additional partner schools and PRUs to join our alliance and host trainee teachers.
Our driving force is that we are passionate about improving outcomes for the most vulnerable of learners by investing in the adults that lead, teach and support them both in the AP and mainstream sectors.
